    Corporate Fitness Center Coordinator

    Salt Lake City, UT

    This is a part-time non-benefited position at 15 hours per week with the work schedule being 2 to 5 days per week.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    Bring your experience to a role where you will:

    • Coordinate Cambia on-site fitness center programs within a region or facility.
    • Implement fitness programs with an emphasis on quality customer service and risk management.
    • Promote and support a safe, positive and healthy culture and environment throughout Cambia.

    Key Qualifications and Experience for Success:

    • Ability to lead safe and effective group exercise classes, administer group exercise programs and lead individual and group training sessions.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
    • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office applications.
    • Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations utilizing CPR and First Aid training and experience.

    Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:

    • Fitness Center Coordinator would have an Associate’s degree in Health Education, Fitness/Nutrition or Public Health with 2-3 years of relevant experience in a health and wellness setting or equivalent combination of education and job related experience

    Required Licenses, Certifications, Registration, Etc.

    • CPR and First Aid certification required or if it has expired, be willing to renew certification
    • Current ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NASM or other health/fitness certification or if it has experience, be willing to renew the certification

    Essential Functions:

    • Enrolls employees into fitness programs and activities, ensuring safe and proper use of the facilities and equipment.
    • Conducts fitness facility orientation sessions and provides information on policies and emergency procedures.
    • Deliver personal training and lifestyle coaching for the employees of Cambia and other tenant companies in the on-site fitness center.
    • Routinely maintain fitness equipment per manufacturer guidelines. Make recommendations on equipment repair & replacement. Monitor and evaluate the condition of the facility to ensure a safe environment. Participate in emergency preparedness plans.
    • Coordinates the overall facility cleanliness including but not limited to administration of the towel service, monitoring locker rooms, restrooms and supplies. Notify building management as necessary.
    • Promote and administer the group exercise program. Recruit group exercise instructors, create class schedules, conducts surveys and evaluations to ensure program quality and interest.
    • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of program offerings and trends in the fitness industry that may be applicable in a corporate setting.
    • Assist with developing, promoting and implementing health and fitness education presentations, seminars and workshops for workgroups and fitness center members.
