    Accounts Receivable Specialist I or II, DOE

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist will perform tasks associated with the management of LifeMap accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate handling of past due/delinquent accounts.

    Demonstrated ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and calculations.

    Responsibilities & Requirements

    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated excellence in written, verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to express ideas and recommendations clearly and with a high level of professionalism in written and oral communications.
    • Demonstrated experience using and navigating through a variety of personal computer software applications. Must have intermediate level Excel skills including knowledge of pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas and intermediate Microsoft Word skills.
    • Demonstrated negotiating skills, with the ability to be assertive and persuasive.
    • Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures.
    • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others.
    • Demonstrated strength in attention to detail.
    • Ability to think analytically and to make sound judgments from analysis.
    • Ability to plan and organize own work.
    • Ability to work flexible hours during periods of heavy workloads.
    • Ability to exercise judgment, initiative and discretion in confidential, mature and sensitive manner.

    Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above:

    • Accounts Receivable Specialist I would have a high school diploma and 1-year customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. College coursework or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is desired.
    • Accounts Receivable Specialist II would have a high school diploma and solid performance for a sustained period of time in the level I or 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, or, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.  College coursework or degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is desired.
